Sir,—ln an article, “Seal shot, beheaded” (August 30), it is mentioned that under the Marine Mammals Protection Act offenders can face fines of up to $lO,OOO, as well as forfeiture of vehicles and equipment. Is it not about time that human land animals be offered such protection from offenders who are found to be in a state of intoxication while driving motor vehicles?—Yours, etc.,
