PA Gisborne The Hastings six-year-old, King Kenora, produced a strong finish to win the Bayer Elders Handicap, first leg of the TAB double at the Poverty Bay meeting yesterday. After settling fourth-last in the running, King
Kenora improved at the 800 m, took over in the straight and won decisively. There was a battle for the minor money, with Al’s Mate running on strongly to beat another improver, Kinastatic, by a long head, with Beaufort Light a nose back, third.
