New electricity head
A member of the Auckland Electric Power Board is the new president of the Electricity Supply Association. Mr Murray Sweetman has been elected unopposed and will succeed Mr Eric Johnston, of Timaru, who intends retiring after three years as president. He is expected to step down at the 56-member association’s annual conference in Christchurch next month. The Auckland engineer, who until now has been the association’s vice-president, was nominated by a large number of supply authorities.—PA.
