Remand follows fraud charges
An aviation consultant facing two charges of fraudulently using a woman’s credit cards to obtain $17,150 in cash was remanded for a week when he appeared before Judge Fogarty in the District Court yesterday. Hugh Anstice Ritchie, aged 35, an Australian, whose address is C/- Pacific Helicopters, New Guinea, is charged with committing the offences between January, 1988, and June, this year. Sergeant Max South said there was no objec-
tion to bail for Ritchie. ROBBERY CHARGE No objection was made to bail being granted for Johannus Keriti Roes who faces a charge of robbery. Roes, aged 30, a parttime doorman, was remanded on bail to September 6. It is alleged that with a person, or persons, unknown he robbed Warwick Alline Wayte of a wallet containing $7OO in cash, and credit cards. The police say the offence happened on June 16.
