Half-brother sent to prison for incest
A man, aged 38, who pleaded guilty to a charge of incest involving his half-sister was sentenced in the District Court at Upper Hutt on Tuesday to 12 months jail. Judge Cartwright said a report disclosed that there had been a significant emotional impact on the complainant, who was
still coping with the problems. “You will be punished now, but she will be left with the consequences of the offence for years and possibly for the rest of her life,” Judge Cartwright said. The two parties had never lived in a brothersister relationship.
