Amcor Canadian buy
Amcor Ltd said a wholly owned subsidiary, Containers Packaging, has bought a Canadian packaging manufacturer, Twinpak Inc, for sCanl2s million (SNZI79M). An Amcor spokesman, Mr David Meiklejohn, said in a statement that Twinpak made plastic containers and flexible packaging and had 16 plants and distribution centres throughout Canada. Amcor resumed talks for the purchase this year, after earlier talks were aborted late last year. The price originally proposed was sCanl6oM.
