strike in support of his calls for a separate Maori justice system. Mr Palmer said Shaw would be offered food and liquid at mealtimes, and hospital treatment if he became ill. No inmate refusing tp eat or drink would be force-fed, he said. Shaw’s sister, Ms Jane Shaw, said her family was desperate to get him off the strike.
