Accounting president
An Auckland woman has been appointed New Zealand president of the Accounting Association of Australia and New Zealand. Mrs Sonja Newby, who is the national director of professional practice with the accounting firm, Peat Marwick, is the first woman president to be elected. She took up office last week in Melbourne.
