League cancelled
AH premier rugby league games are now cancelled today because the Addington Show Grounds are under water and there is no alternative venue. The only rugby today, apart from the internationals at Lancaster Park, will be in the under 19 grade and the Christchurch v. Burnside game has been transferred to Bower Park. There are two ground changes in the Trustbank Canterbury senior rugby plate competition tomorrow — Merivale will now be playing Otautahi at Rawhiti Domain, still at 2.45 p.m., and the Lincoln College v. Albion game will be at South Brighton Domain at 1 p.m. Denton Park was ruled out. All men’s club hockey is off apart from games scheduled on artificial turf at Porritt Park. Canterbury Women’s Hockey Association matches scheduled on grass today are also expected to be postponed.
