Bond takes stand
Australian businessman, Mr Alan Bond, spent four hours on the stand at a London High Court hearing into which company in the Bond stable beneficially owned shares in Lonhro, Pic. Lonhro, the British-based international trading group, brought the action. Outside the court, Mr Bond said he was “absolutely confident,” in spite of a High Court judge describing his defence as not seeming to be in a satisfactory position.
