Goliath bid nod
The Supreme Court of Tasmania has ruled that Australian Cement, Ltd (ACL), is free to mail a $NZ221.85 million take-over offer for Goliath Cement after ACL receives regulatory clearance. Goliath earlier this month obtained a temporary Injunction blocking despatch of the sAustl.7O a share offer to its shareholders after claiming ACL’s formal Part A take-over document lacked certain disclosures. But the court has now ruled there was insufficient evidence to further delay issue of the Part A. ACL is jointly owned by CSR and Pioneer International.
