Pregnant woman dies
Chilean police yesterday opened fire on hundreds of slum-dwellers who attempted to occupy unfinished buildings in a working class suburb of Santiago, killing ' a young pregnant woman, authorities said. One woman and a. man were wounded by gunfire, five police officers were injured by rocks and 220 people were arrested in the disturbance, officials said. — NZPAAFP.
