Old Rose Theatre
The High Court in Britain has refused to overturn ■ the decision of the Environment Secretary, Nicholas - Ridley, not to schedule the historic Rose Theatre site in ”' London as a national monument. Mr Justice Schiemann rejected a claim by the Rose Theatre Trust that Mr r ’ Ridley’s decision was “flawed in law.” The trust was set up to preserve the remains of the Elizabethan Theatre ’■’ in Southwark. — NZPA-PA.
