Space move expected
The United States President, George Bush, will renew the United States commitment to space on Friday, the twentieth anniversary of the Moon landing, with new funds and technology, the Vice-President, Dan Quayle, said yesterday. Declaring the United States has fallen behind in space exploration, Mr Quayle said the United States must move beyond plans for a space station to develop programmes for manned exploration, of space. — NZPA-Reuter.
