Smash and leave
A burglar smashed two holes in the ceiling of a Bishopdale house after finding his path blocked by a locked inside door. The offender gained entry to the Isleworth Road address through louvre windows in the toilet. He could not get any further than the washhouse so broke through the ceiling and exited in the hallway. Electrical items and a small amount of valium was stolen. A neighbour saw a man, described as possibly Polynesian with a red shirt, in the house for about an hour.
