Brooke declines
PA / . -Auckland Zinzan Brooke has rejected an offer to play for the Anzac XV and will represent Auckland against North Auckland on Saturday. Brooke was yesterday listed in the Anzac side to play against the British Lions in Brisbane on Sunday, although the match organisers were unsure of his availability. The Auckland coach,; Maurice Trapp, said after last night’s training, however, that Brooke wanted to play for Auckland. “From what you hear everyone in New Zealand has been invited,” Mr Trapp said. The only New Zealanders in the side will be Kieran Crowley, Frano Botica, Mike Brewer and Steve McDowall. Brooke will be replaced by Australian Tim Gavin.
