Fatal pole crash
A man died when his van left the Albany highway, north of Auckland, and hit a power pole. He was Paul Maxwell Sheffield, aged 33, a builder, of Mill Lane, Albany. The accident happened near the intersection of the highway and Bush Road. —PA.
