Lotto fever proves antidote to ailment
PA Wellington An Auckland man, who went home early from a party on Saturday evening because he was not feeling well, made a fast recovery after winning a one-third share of Lotto’s firstdivision prize of $1,317,441.##. The man, a regular Lotto player, left the party in time to watch the live Lotto draw. After all six of his winning numbers
appeared, he was able to find the strength to return to the party to celebrate his win. The man intended to use part of his $439,147 to travel to Australia for a holiday and to take his first .Concorde flight to Britain. ■< In a remarkable coincidence, the man was one of two division one winners who bought their tickets from the same outlet,
the Chance Enterprises in St Lukes, the New Zealand Lotteries Commission said. The other Auckland winner was still shaking with excitement yesterday after winning a share of the big prize. While watching the live draw with a friend the man began to tremble as four of his lucky numbers appeared on the screen. When all six of his
chosen numbers appeared, he could not believe his luck. He will spend part of his winnings to buy a home and to take his children to Disneyland. The remaining money will be invested. A Taihape man who chose his own numbers won the remaining third of the first-division prize. A regular Lotto player, he intended sharing his good fortune with his family.
