Fastpost
Sir,—On Monday and Wednesday of last week, letters were posted to me from Tauranga at 5 p.m., and in both cases they were delivered to my suburban home by 11.30 next morning. Similarly, two letters I posted to Tauranga at 4.30 p.m.. at my suburban post office, were delivered to a Tauranga suburban home 18 hours later. This must surely indicate a most efficient organisation and well worth the 80c postage. Prior to Fastpost, airmail letters to Tauranga never took less than two days, more often three. One has beqoffe so bored with hearing nothing but tedio®Mp /negative comments ahouSyery change in our public servioßfthat I feel that praising something, instead of condemning everything, might contribute to a more positive and cheerful attitude being adopted by a few more of our citizens.—Yours, O. DALLEY. July 2, 1989.
