Skinley ‘not missing’
By
BARRY CLARKE
A Christchurch teen-
ager, Kelly Skinley, is bemused as to why her mother has listed her as a missing person. Miss Skinley, aged 17, was reported missing after she left her mother’s Mairehau Road home on Sunday morning. A window was ajar, indicating she might have been taken against her will. Miss Skinley has been the subject of two
previous police manhunts after disappearing with a man, aged 43. “I’m not missing. I was going to leave a couple of weeks ago. I decided to go on Sunday,” said Miss Skinley last evening. "I was going to go out through the window. But it would have made too much noise. I went out the back door.” Miss Skinley said she would get in touch with the police.
