Kiwis in reserves
The New Zealand rugby league coach, Tony Gordon, and a fellow selector, Keith Roberts, will need to be early when they go to Brookvale Oval to catch up with the form of Manly-Warringah’s Kiwi contenders on Sunday. The New Zealanders, Darrell Williams and Joe Ropati, were among four players dropped by Manly after a run of poor results and will be playing reserve grade against Eastern Suburbs. Meanwhile, at Canter-bury-Bankstown another Kiwi ouside back, Mark Elia, was reprieved when six of his team-mates were demoted after last week’s big loss to Penrith.
