Snofest in Wanaka
A former Golden Guitar award winner, Grenville Craig, will co-ordinate the Wanaka Snowfest this winter. In the two previous years Snowfest has been organised by committees of volunteer enthusiasts, but its growth has been such that the Wanaka Promotion Association decided the services of a paid co-ordinator were required. Mr Craig, of Wanaka, has had a varied career in sales and marketing
and has previously won an award at the Gore Golden Guitar celebrations. He also runs a small music booking and promotional company. Key acts, including the New Zealand singer, Lyn Williamson, and the Canterbury Percussion Orchestra are already booked for the 1989 Snowfest . The Snowfest is planned to run from September 7 to 13 to co-incide with the last week-end of the school holidays.
