Palestinians may vote
Palestinian leaders have accepted Israel’s proposals for elections in the occupied territories if they are part of an over-all settlement. Salah Khalaf, deputy to the Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat, in the mainstream Fatah movement, said leaders from all Palestinian factions agreed such elections could be held, possibly even before an Israeli troop pullout from the West Bank and Gaza Strip.—Tunis.
