Youth wins award
A Timaru youth, Aaron Gray, was one of six young asthma sufferers to be presented with an achievement award from the Asthma Foundation yesterday. The awards were presented in Wellington by the Minister of Health, Ms Clark. Aaron received his award for achievements in swimming and soccer. Awards were also pre-
sented to Mark Sinclair, Rotorua; Ross Aldridge, Hamilton; Leanne Parker, Napier; Leanne Cahill and Anna Leyland, both of Auckland. This year’s winners were chosen from 15 regional finalists.
The awards were introduced by the foundation last year to encourage young New Zealanders with asthma to manage their condition and take part in activities they are interested in.
