PRISONERS On Wednesday, April 19, five prisoners at Paparua Prison escaped with assistance inside and outside prison. One has been recaptured. Still missing are: Tamati William Gray, Malcolm Robertson Hurst and Richard John Panapa, all dangerous and John Peter Fearon not dangerous. Information received will be treated in confidence. PARK ASSAULT At 6.20 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, a woman was assaulted and knocked to the ground as she walked through Pagoda Street Park, Sydenham. The offender was male. Caucasian, 20 to 30 years, dark collar-length hair, wearing jeans and jacket. He was riding a 10-speed cycle. INDECENT ACTS On Wednesday, April 19, a man made indecent suggestions and exposed himself twice while in the Arts Centre and Court Theatre, Hereford Street. His description is male, Caucasian, early 20s, 173 cm (sft Bin), curly light brown hair receding at fore-
head, average build, cleanshaven. Wearing red football top and jeans. STABBING On Tuesday, April 18, at 2 a.m. a deaf mute was stabbed in Cathedral Square. The injury was not serious. The offender is described as male, Maori, 19 to 20 years, short, dark curly hair, tattoos on back of left hand and two fingers on right hand taped together with white tape. He left in blue Escort van. OWNERS WANTED The police have recovered and want owners for a 12 gauge W.W. Grenner side-by-side shotgun in a black case and a Hitachi 14in colour television set. TRAILER STOLEN On April 19, a large green tandem trailer with wire mesh grill welded to the deck was stolen from Okuiti Valley, Little River. Offenders drove a 1986 black Pontiac car with a brown stripe along the sides. ASSAULT On Wednesday, April 19, at about 4.30 p.m. a mother and daughter were assaulted in
their Champion Street address by three men. Two offenders are described as Caucasian, aged 18 to 19 years, both 167 cm (sft 6im tall. One was of solid build wearing black jersey and jeans and the other thin build, wearing a green jersey and jeans.
