Awards for Chch chefs
A team from Tiffany’s restaurant in Christchurch has brought home a silver and a bronze medal and two merit awards from the national cooking competitions held in Auckland at the week-end. The restaurant’s proprietor, Mr Michael Magill, won a silver medal in the New Zealand Master Chef of the Year section, while a junior chef, Alan Johnston, won bronze in the open section, “venison magic box” contest, which chefs were given a box of ingredients and asked to prepare a meal for four in an hour.
