NZPA-AAP Sydney Bank of New Zealand Australia will buy sAust4o million (SNZS3 million) of selected business and assets from the trade financiers, F. J. Hawkes (Australia) Pty, Ltd, and F. J. Hawkes and Co (New Zealand), Ltd. BNZ Australia’s chief executive, Mr Leigh Scott-
Kemmis, said yesterday the part-acquisition of F. J. Hawkes would, strengthen BNZ’s position in the local trade finance market. He said F. J. Hawkes’ assets and business not purchased in the sAust4o million dollars buy-out, would be managed by BNZ Australia.
