Robbers burn two to death
NZPA-PA London Two people were burnt to death yesterday when raiders tied them up, sprinkled them with petrol and set them alight during a robbery on an amusement arcade in the heart of London’s Chinatown. Two other arcade workers were seriously injured in the attack, in the centre of Soho. They suffered 40 per cent burns and were seriously ill at Roehampton Hospital after being transferred from Westminster Hospital, a Scotland Yard spokesman said. The grim aftermath of the attack was discovered when colleagues arrived for work at the arcade in Wardour Street. A police spokesman at the scene said: "This appears to be an attempted robbery."
