Strong local flavour to Show
The Southern Machinery Show will take place at the King Edward Barracks from Wednesday, April 5 until Friday, April 7. The Show will be open from noon till 9 p.m. tomorrow and from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. The Southern Machinery Show has been organised by XPO Exhibitions,
Ltd, of Christchurch. For the Show organisers, the event is the fourth biennial machinery show they have organised in the city. The Christchurch connection will also be strengthened by the inclusion of two local engineering companies exhibiting on Stand number 31 at the Show. They are Contex Engineers, Ltd, and R. Auton,
Ltd, General Engineers. Contex will demonstrate the versatile range of applications for their re-cently-enhanced capacity for high tolerance precision engineering. R. Auton, Ltd, will show the extremely popular “bulldozer bender” unit, manufactured by the company and the recipient of a New Zealand Designmark Award.
