Lange to visit Hagley
The Minister of Education, Mr Lange, is scheduled to visit Hagley High School on Friday afternoon, to look at building needs and to address a public meeting.
The meeting will be open to parents, staff and members of the public, and will be one of a series of meetings Mr Lange has been holding about the Government’s planned education reforms.
Christchurch secondary schools have planned a strike for Friday in protest about the award talks. However, the school’s deputy - principal, Mr Graeme Plummer, said Hagley had been given a dispensation by the P.P.T.A., and would stay open for Friday’s visit.
