Ozone layer
Sir,—An • article "Saving the ozone, layers (March 28) emphasises thatchlorofluorocarbons are approved for; many good causes, such as;. refrigeration. This does hot ’mean that Refrigerants cannot be handled in a proper way to reduce unnecessary pollution of the atmosphere. The British Heating and Ventilating Contractors issue a pamphlet, “Help handle refrigerants With care,” which details don’ts and do’s for those in the refrigerating business. The aim is to discontinue releasing C.F.C. gas into the atmosphere. Anyone in the refrigerating trade wanting a copy of this information please apply to the New Zealand Clean Air Society, P.O.
