Sound trial from Orapai
The Foxton mare, Orapai did her Linwood City Great Autumn Stakes chances tomorrow no harm in a solo gallop at Riccarton yesterday. Orapai was one of the later workers on the No. 6 grass which was firm and ran a solo 1000 m in 1:05.5 with the last 600 m in 36.8. Orapai had race day rider Grant Davison up and was doing her work well at the finish. Endear and Exchequer produced an outstanding gallop early in the session while Margarella with Fayre Trial, Dashing King, Hot Ice and Irish Anchor were among others to catch the eye.
