Cairns shines
NZPA-AAP Cape Town Only New Zealand’s Lance Cairns managed to hold the rampaging South African cricketers at bay in the Golden Oldies clash with an International Wanderers line-up yesterday. The legendary South African batsman, Graeme Pollock, slammed a century in just over two hours at Newlands Ground to ensure the win for his team. The match is the first of three to celebrate the Republic’s test centenary. Cairns’ four for 20. from nine overs included the scalp pf Mike Procter for a duck.
