One of the authors represented in the issue is Dame Ngaio Marsh. The others are Katherine Mansfield, Bruce Mason, and James K. Baxter. The portrait of Dame Ngaio Marsh in the background was painted by Vy Elsom, of Geraldine, in 1966.
