$7000 jetski stolen

A $7OOO Kawasaki jetski has been stolen in a burglary of Southwire Corporation, Ltd, in Main South Road, Sockbum. Detective Bob Kerr, of Hornby, said burglars entered the business during last week-end. He said they cut through the wire fence round the premises and smashed a window to gain entry. They opened a sliding door and wheeled out the •jetski on a trailer across a nearby paddock towards the railway line. The offenders dumped the trailer in the paddock and are believed to have carried the red jetski to a vehicle in a car park behind the Ravensdown Fertiliser plant Detective Kerr said the burglary is being treated as linked to a break-in at Southwire Corporation the week-end before. Tools and equipment were taken in the first burglary. The jetski had also been removed but left beneath a cover in the paddock.
