New Zealand Limited W SOFTWARE V SUPPORT SPECIALISTS ' Our client Airways Corporation of New Zealand Ltd (ACNZ), have just embarked upon a major and sophisticated systems development project. ACNZ has designated a prime contractor to develop and install a system (AMP) for Air Traffic Services. The system is currently being developed in ADA, at the prime contractor’s site in France and a phased implementation is planned through 1991. ACNZ now require two Software Support Specialists to become totally familiar with, implement and provide support for this state-of-the-art system. The successful candidates will be expected to make a long-term commitment to the organisation as they may spend up to eighteen months in France, undergoing intensive training courses, developing software and supporting the implementation. This is a very technical role, reporting to the Systems Development Manager. Suitable candidates should demonstrate: - strong programming skills at least 5 years experience using advanced languages such as FORTRAN, PASCAL. - strong analytical abilities required to develop technical specifications for software related modifications based on operational and technical requirements. -experience in systems/acceptance testing to determine that the developed system meets the contracted requirements. -strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both written and oral and ideally a proven track record in project leadership, planning and staff development. - knowledge of the French language and the Aviation Industry desirable. These positions represent an unusual and challenging opportunity for the right candidates to be involved in a high-profile systems development project of national importance.
