Aust. honeymooner robbed
An Australian tourist on her honeymoon in New Zealand had her handbag containing $l6OO snatched in Cathedral Square yesterday by two women who threatened to "kick her head in” if she resisted, the police said. The woman was outside Duty Free Shoppers, in Colombo Street, about 9 a.m. when the two women
grabbed her handbag containing the money and jewellery valued at $l4OO, including two gold bracelets from her wedding. The police were yesterday still searching for the women. Both women were Maoris. One was described as 164 cm tall of stocky build with wide shoulders and dark frizzy
hair. She was wearing blue stone-wash jeans, a black windjacket with red around the sleeves and the jacket bottom. She was wearing silver earrings and rings on her fingers. The other was described as shorter, and was wearing jeans, and a black jacket. Both are aged 17 or 18.
