Mr Kelly Rogers, left, a joint owner of the Bridgeway cinema, Auckland, was in Christchurch to supervise the refurbishing of the Metro cinema, in Worcester Street, as part of its changeover to being run by the Bridgeway from Boxing Day. The Metro will be managed by Mr Martyn Bullimore, right. Messrs Kelly and Bullimore last week installed the new extended screen. The new policy of the Metro will include the screening of the two main “art” films at different session times daily, and the showing of films without interruption by interval.
