Otago bats well
Otago batted itself into a strong position on the first day of a two-day under 20 cricket match against Canterbury at Hagley Oval yesterday. After declaring at 284 for the loss of seven wickets, Otago captured an early Canterbury wicket, but the home side had consolidated its position by stumps. Scores: Otago 284/7 decl. (G.
