Walk launched
PA Wellington The world champion squash player, Susan Devoy, saw her charity walk for muscular dystrophy officially launched in Auckland yesterday. Devoy and fellow walkers will cover the length of New Zealand, starting in Auckland on October 20, raising funds and awareness for muscular dystrophy sufferers. Muscular dystrophy is estimated to effect about 1000 New Zealanders. The disease wastes muscles, impairing the ability of people to move and take care of themselves. The walk will last 52 days.
