Highway reopened
State highway 73 west of Rocky Point, on the West Coast, was reopened for one-lane traffic last evening after being closed by a slip earlier in the day. The Automobile Association (Canterbury) said the road was closed in mid-afternoon and a culvert had to be diverted. It was reopened soon after 7 p.m.
