Tyres, wheels stolen
Property worth about $4OOO was stolen in a burglary of the ground floor members’ stand of the Canterbury Jockey Club at Riccarton Racecourse at the week-end. Stolen were six Bridgestone tyres, three Potenza tyres and five mag wheels. The offender also took a Husqvarna chainsaw. A fire exit was forced to gain entry between about 1 a.m. on Sunday and Monday morning, when the break-in was discovered. The stolen items were part of a display in connection with a function on Saturday evening.
