Cricket foundation proposed
A sub-committee has been set up by the North Canterbury Cricket Association to investigate the establishment of a North Canterbury Cricket Foundation. The aim of the foundation would be to create a capital fund to finance special projects. The secretary of the association, Mr Peter
Williams, said at the annual meeting, that the executive strongly favoured setting up the foundation, but questioned if the economic climate was right to embark on such a venture at this time. Once the sub-committee reports back to the executive a decision will be made whether to continue with the venture.
