Lotto leaves surplus
Lotto has left the Lottery Board with a $10.7 million surplus despite the allocation of more than $2l million. In its annual report to Parliament, the board said the payments from the Lotteries Commission were substantially higher than budgeted for because of the difficulty in predicting the impact of Lotto. The surplus would be distributed in the new financial year and it was expected a wide range of projects would benefit.
