Emphatic win
NZPA-PA Harare The Young New Zealand cricketers opened their Zimbabwe tour on Sunday with an emphatic 101 runs win over a country district side. Philip Home (76), Trevor Franklin (84), Ken Rutherford (49) and the skipper, Robert Vance (64 not out) got some useful batting practice against the local farmers and New Zealand reached 294 for three wickets in its allotted 50 overs. Horne and Franklin put on 151 for the first wicket, the latter hitting eleven fours and two sixes.
