Toolara Dream speedy
The Queensland pacing ace, Toolara Dream ran the fifth fastest mobile 2100 m around Albion Park in Brisbane when he rated a fast Imin 57.8 s for the distance in the Foster’s Championship Preview there last Saturday evening. Driven by Damian Stainkey, Toolara Dream held out the strong finish
of Henry Luca, which was timed over his last 800 m from back in the field in a brilliant 55.65. Third after having his chance was the former New Zealander, Happy Sunrise, with Victoria’s Riverlea Jack, the winner of four of his five starts for the season going into the race, a creditable fourth after breaking and
losing ground in the rum up behind the mobile gate. This was Toolara Dream’s third consecutive win, having won miles in imin 56.5 s (Happy Sunrise was second after being parked throughout) and Imin 57.55, beating Hyperstat and Happy Sunrise, in previous weeks.
