Child, motor-cyclist killed
PA Dunedin Two people died and a family is in hospital with injuries ranging from moderate to serious after a road accident at Hilderthorpe near Oamaru on Friday night. They were Patrick John Andrews, aged 27, of Christchurch.
Cherish Margaret Gibbs, aged two-and-a-half, of Dunedin. Mr Andrews was killed instantly when his 50 cu cm motorcycle collided head-on with a car on a straight stretch of road Bkm north of Oamaru on State highway 1.
