Experience in team of Tasman golf defenders
Although without its regular No. 1 of recent years, Elliot Boult, the Tasman eight-man golf team to compete in the South Island interprovincial tournament at Shirley at the week-end has a good blend of experience and potential. Mark Berthelsen, Peter Fox, Lyell Marfell and Hadyn Morgan were all members of the Tasman team which was runner-up in the Government
Life inter-provincial championship in Whangarei last year. Tasman had its first win in the South Island tournament last year, but it had to share top honours with Otago. The team, in playing order, is:— Mark Berthelsen, Garth Domigan, Peter Fox, Haydn Morgan, Robert Watt, Lyell Marfell, Alistair Mackie and Peter Bourke.
