Miller will not defend title
PA Auckland The national road cycling champion, Graeme Miller, of Auckland, will not be defending his New Zealand title in Dunedin early next month. Miller is contracted to the IME Pinerallo team in the United States and may return to North America for races there after the Seoul Olympics. He may also contest the prestigious Commonwealth Bank Classic road tour in Australia in late October. But he will definitely be
riding the Wellington to Auckland ■ tour in early November. Miller beat his Seoul Olympic team-mate Brian Fowler to win last year’s national road championship in Wellington and won the final stage of last year’s Wellington to Auckland classic. He is one of the threemember New Zealand team for the Olympic individual road race in Seoul on Tuesday. Fowler and Wellington’s Wayne Morgan are the other members of the New Zealand road race team.
