N.Z. Post
Sir, —How long should a letter take to reach a private bag address in Auckland by' Fast Post? I posted one on August 22 and it had not reached its destination by September 5. Also, share transfers which were due back in Auckland by August 31 did not reach the writer until September 9. Even registered mail from Auckland takes several days to arrive. This is not good enough. I suggest that every citizen writes the date of mailing in large letters on the back of mail so everyone can see just how long articles take to arrive. Fast Post is a ridiculous idea. Why do we New Zealanders have to try and better the rest of the world? Air Mail is known and understood globally — and seems faster.—Yours, etc., M. ADAMS, Ashburton, September 22, 1988.
